Samer Al-Assali has been working with small business owners since 1998. That is over 25 years of helping real people navigate the complexities of Canadian tax law, keep their books in order, and make smarter financial decisions. He is not the kind of accountant who disappears after tax season. He is the one who picks up the phone when you have a question in July.

He started Ontario Tax Team with a simple idea: small business owners deserve the same quality accounting that large corporations get, but with personal attention and fair pricing. Too many small businesses were overpaying for generic advice or, worse, going without professional help altogether. Samer wanted to change that.

His specialties include personal income taxes, corporate tax planning, payroll services for small teams, and bookkeeping for grocery stores and retail businesses. Over the years, he has built deep expertise in the unique challenges these businesses face, from managing inventory costs to handling HST on mixed supplies.

Samer holds the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and is based in Oakville, Ontario. He serves clients across Oakville, Mississauga, Burlington, and Milton. When clients need face-to-face meetings, he comes to their office. He believes that convenience should never be a barrier to getting good accounting help.

What his clients value most is the relationship. Many have worked with him for 10, 15, even 20 years. They stay because he treats their business like it matters. Because it does.
